Anybody have an idea for cheap way to ship a car from Washington to Ohio? The cheapest I've found so far is around $750.00 :( . Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

Drive it! haha  just kidding have you tryed fedex and ups? Do you have any local hauling companies that might take it. I know that the military shipped mine for free but they have to have a contract with some one for fairly cheap. Hope something helps. Harry Good luck

use EXTREME caution when doing this. there are several trucks out there that are fly-by-night. like the old saying goes you get what you pay for. several trucks on the road have just enough insurance to get by.
call Mountianside Auto Transporters @ 1-866-628-6683 ask for Loyd. they have an excellent record in moving autos. they are not the cheapest & far from the most expensive but there top notch. tell him Steve with Mid Atlantic Heavy Hauling sent you.

Hi,
I just used Rick Henderson from the V 8 board to ship a car to Michigan from NC. Everything went very smooth and Rick is a nice person to deal with.
Yes I will use him again.
His rate is $0.60/mile and NO EXTRA charge for non operation car.
The best way to reach him is his cell 253-335-5086.
Tell him Gary said HI.

Gary

$750 sounds pretty good to ship a car that far. You are talking 2000+ miles.

If you drove it it would be 2 long days of driving and $200 in gas if its a Turbobuick, more if it's not.
