This is the first time I'm trying to do this and I'm having a hard time.
How do I disconnect the wire that's on the knock sensor?
Your comments are greatly apreciated.

Thanks
Nick

I just did my, i hope this will help. the Wire is latch on the end of the sensor, you have to pull up on the tab and it should come off, you will see how it works after you remove it. it takes a 7/8" deep socket ( ?? ) comes out easy.( do not do what i did and drop the socket down between the bell housing and the sheet metal) You are better off if you try to put the new one in by hand first, then use the socket.

I had a code 43 and replace the sensor and the esc, still have code 43.

good luck

No thread sealer needed and it must be torqued to 14 ft lbs to get accurate sensing.

TAB on SENSOR PLUG??

Don't think there's a tab on the plug. It is a "squeeze" release. If you pry it off, you can break the tabs inside the plug...Just grip it on the sides and squeeze it on the "wide side" of the plug and then gently pull it off.;) ;) ;)

Tape on the threads??

There is no reason to put tape on the threads.. The hole is dry and the use of tape could change the sensitivity of the sensor.

Some folks try that as a way to "ignore" knock for some strange reason.... Kinda defeats the purpose of the sensor.;)
