Hello audiophiles, need help connecting this wire harness. The harness on the left is from a Kenwood x395 and the harness on the right is a metra. I have the concert2 surround in the car but I am keeping the stock speakers for now. The speaker connections are pretty straight forward but how do I go about connecting the power/ground?
The kenwood radio harness:
yellow = constant 12v
Red = ignition 12v
black = ground
the 2 pin connector is labeled as:
yellow = constant 12v
orange = illumination/dash lights
the big connector:
red = ignition 12v
black = ground
blue = power attenna
orange/white = dimmer
the other colors are for the speakers
Do I connect radio yellow to 2 pin yellow? Then radio Red to Big conn Red? What do I connect the dimmer wire to? Do I tie that into the Red wires?
