gbody parts.com have reporducton fillers in fiberglass or in abs plastic they are both around the same price which would be better to get? let me hear some opinons

Hi,
I put in fiberglas front and rear, and I'm happy. I hope they outlive the urethane.Good deals on ebay for these parts. They aren't perfect, but a little judicious sanding helps a lot.

Do not buy postons they are crappoooo

I am fairly happy with mine......... What issues did you have with yours?

The biggest problem I have... is the factory didn't put enough bumper adjustment.... and my bumpers are so low... they occasionally rub on my fillers..... ????? I don't think it is a filler problem though.......

Just curious what problems you had from Jim's?

For one thing they were cracked on the edges. The finish ont hem looked like a monkeys butt!! I'm not sure if someone played a game of basketball witht them before I got them or if the molds they came out of were that bad..I bought another set a few yrs back an they were fine. I got these last week an they were totally the opposite!!

ok so i think i am gonna go with the fibergalss ones it seems to be a good chocie because they are preety cheap and if thye do crack it will be simple to fix

Why are people buying aftermarket front fillers? They are only about $100 for the pair shipped from GMPartsDirect. Isn't this competitive with aftermarket ones? None of them come painted, do they? I know GM rears are like $400 or something. So aftermarket is the way to go for the rears.

That's great that you can still get the GM ones for the front..... if you are looking to go original... great. The problem I have... is they rot (the very reason you are probably replacing your originals) Fiberglass ones do not. No they don't come painted.... but the glass ones I had were already black... I installed them w/o painting b/c I was going to have the whole car painted pretty soon. They look great! You really can't tell with my $hitty factory paint on the rest of the car... that what is on my car isn't already painted.....
