I just got the car 2 months ago. it has been sitting for 8 years it has 80,000 miles on the car and has 20,000 miles on a jasper motor (junk ) . the guy told me the car ran but had a miss in it till he took it to a buick mechanic (on the side) and it did not run after he got it back. OK this is what i have got of it so far new fuel pump 340 hot-wire kit, fuel injection harness, fuel tank, and I'm getting 009 injectors taking out the motor and having it redone what should i do to it?
port heads? polish? what cam ? ( 208/208) ? do i need a stall? what are the best lifters for the price? any info would be great.

I'm looking to put the 87 ECU and the 87 coil pack in tep, water, boost, oil, and gas gauges in. I'm not going to drag race it (maybe) but i would like to eat mustangs up.

Where is the best place to get parts? I'm got parts from racetronix and there great

ok....I think the lunati cam had a ton of good words about it... that is the 204-214. the comp cam, 206-206 is a real common cam also. If you want fast, you need DAVE WEBER of Weber Racing. I dont have his number handy, but I am sure Turbo6x2 can chime in and help with that!!!

As for the heads and intake...Port em baby! Get as much air in and out as you can.... I believe those head cuts are intake: 1.77 and exhaust: 1.50. As for lifters, get the comp cams setup and get roller rockers with the set. If you go lunati, call up Summit and they can set yyou up with the cam/lifters/rockers and all.

Lastly, get an adj wastegate and high octane or alky!!! Ifyou can get a 2800 stall converter, get it. Get your TB ported also...Plenty of info on that on these boards.

If you need to go fast...Give John Craig a call at limit engineering. he has the custom TA33c turbocharger for our cars, known to go deep 12's and high 11's if proper homework is done!

Exhaust is paramount. ATR pipes are great, but if you can get a mease DP (3"), you are in the zone! I have the ATR up-pipe, Mease DP and poston headers and crossover. I am told the ATR set-up, while being 2.5 inches, works just as well, and can get you some quick slips!

Chip, turbo, exhaust, porting of intake and heads, cam and converter....did I leave anything out...hmmmm....

Oh yeah....ADJ FPR (Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator). You need this for ideal tuning...it is mandatory with the injectors and pump. once you get your electronics updated...get monitoring tools....With the 87 computer, you can hook up Direct scan for the vitals.

Good luck!

John
