So Ive rebuilt the tranny myself and I am down to the pump. I havent touched it yet and was wondering whats the best route. Rebuild it myself or should I just buy one from someone thats already done. And by who?
Thanks!

If you built the trans, then you should have no problem with the pump. Just make sure the two half's are lined up before you tighten it together. I use a large hose clamp......ya I know, but it works.

What condition is the pump in? What converter are you using? What trans pan are you using? What RPM will the engine turn?

The pump is easy to build at home. The answers to these questions should help you get the right parts for your pump or even a custom built pump.. Any trans vendor should have what you need.

The pump seem to be pretty good. The bushing is torn up from last problems. Im using a custom built 12" that stalls at 2500 the engine peak is 6k. pan is stock for now. trying to decide if a deep pan will allow me in and out of my drive way. lol

Front pump is simple as mentioned.

IMO do a .500 boost valve while in there grind off one land on PSI reg (tells you in the yo yo kit)
Use a no yo yo gil younger hardned pump rings and pump slide kit.
Use a 10 vane pump. (factory is 7)
Stake bushing and and use a seal retainer on the front seal .
Also, be sure your pump halves are not scored or gouged.
