need help with my 85

my car is getting hot & when it does I see that my oil pressure drops to 5psi. I have a front mount intercooler & ele. fan. Can anyone tell me what I should be looking at?

Have you changed the oil lately. What about the water pump? Check for leaks. Check the thermo. Boil it and see if it is opening. Open the radiator and see if you have any bubbles. This may be the time to upgrade the radiator to a F Body, Intrepid elec fan or Lincoln 5000cfm fan.

what electric fan do you have? what thermostat,how old is it? how thick is your front mount intercooler? Take your rad cap off while you 1st start it, see if the water is moving good. Check your Cap also, how old is the cap,brand etc.
