I've been trying to fix problem of car running great MOST of the time, but SOME of the time it dies while driving it.

I was spraying water under hood, to see if possible shorts existed, to see if I could replicate the problem. While doing this, the car heated up and the fan started running .... the car started running like poopoo. I let it die, let it cool off for a minute, started it back up. It ran fine. (The fan was NOT running when restarted.) After a few minutes, the fan started again, and it ran like poopoo again!?!? How could an electric fan cause a problem like this?!?!

Anyone had any like experiences?? I've replace the fuel pump (Walbro 307) / fuel filter so far to no avail. FP gauge says 42 (stock regulator). Please give me a hand on this one. The car looks so nice sitting there; makes me wanna drive it! (Go figure!) Heh heh ...

Check your volts . mabe the fan is causing to much of a drain on the elect system and its causing the ignition to die out , just a guess but easy to do. i would look al around the engine for any frayed or damaged wires , check to positive battery cable from the bat top the starter to make sure th e headers havent burned through , that one was a common one on these cars .Check to resister on the fan wiring mabe its damaged .Check out the fan relay too , its on the driver side.It couldnt hurt to get a adj. reg but i dont think thats the prob just nice for getting the f.p up and overall safety with fuel delivery. Hope you find the problem good luck .

If your fan is blowing on the MAF, or, blowing on the filter in front of the MAF that could cause a poor run. These sensors are VERY sensative to turbulence. ESPECIALLY the new LS1 MAF's. Move the air intake from behind the cooling fan and I bet you're all fixed up
