Have you done a search? Betcha you could find out what you need.

#25500012 is a 3.8 stage1 block, #00016 &#00017 are 4.1 blocks all off center like a production block. the #00153 are on-center blocks which are supposed to be the strongest. the stage1 blocks can have extra holes drilled at 12 oclock and 6 oclock to become a stage2, billet caps also play a big part in this.go to www.gnttype.org for a further break down of the different blocks.

how mutch can cost a good s2 engine no turbo and injector only the engine complete !somethig around 700hp something to run in 9sec

Not so fast.

25500012 is a block casting # for a 3.8 liter Stage I or Stage II off center block. 25500016 is a casting # for a 4.1 liter Stage I or Stage II off center block. 25500013 and 25500017 are Part #'s not casting #'s.

I thought #0017 is a 4.1 block that they only produced 50 of in 1984 that had the chevy rear main seal. sort of a updated #0016 block? You can probably figure $10k-$15k for one done right.

There are two or three S2 motors for sale right now in the for sale forum - it is usually much cheaper to buy a motor than scrounge up all the parts yourself.

I still think you're getting confused between the casting #'s and the part #'s. I hoped the link would help.

that must of been revised after that cause i see no #0012 and #0016. which are shown on www.gnttype.org

Gotcha! But there are casting numbers for #00016 and #00017, not part numbers.
