Need Local Mechanic in Chicago

Need a reliable mechanic in the Chicago area to work on my car ,I have no time to put into find the cause of my car running rough,with high BLM,, IAC all over the place ,thjis problem has been going on for about a month.Let me know if you have the time ..

There is a guy in Park Ridge named Gary...Street Performance is his company on Oakton St. I dont know if he is still in Biz but he knows his stuff.

HEs like 10 min from me but always has to many cars in the driveway,either he owns them all ,or he is slow,,I will have to look him up...

He has a chassis dyno in the shop. We have Dyno days for the chicagoland buick club usually 3 or 4 times a year. Scott (TurboTTypeWE4) has his car there and does work for them.

There also Pete from ANS. He was able to streightwn out my line bore after R&R from Addison screwd it up

I would second giving Speed Inc. a call. Some friends and I have bought quite a bit of stuff from them and have used them for dyno service a couple of times too.
If you call, ask for Larry. Really nice guy. Word of advice though, they are REALLY busy, so you might want to e-mail him first.

Another vote for Pete @ ANS. Been going there for years and been very happy. Also, Pete's support for the Chicagoland Chapter GSCA has been very generous.

Also, those guys at Speed Inc are very busy! I was there once to pick up a part and was amazed at how many people were there having work done and making pulls on the dyno.

Pete is really good. id take it to him. my friend bought his old yellow grand national chasis and pete helped him a lot with it... the guy on oakton ave ive heard mixed things.. my friend that bought that chasis from pete knows a lot about these cars.. he has 2 GNs.. 1 did 9s and the other low 8s in the quarter mile.. i can ask him if he is willing to check it out for ya.. he may want to fix it for some $$
