I use the kind with hooks on each end, and hopefully I can explain this:

I hook both the front and the back in an "X" fashion. all four are attached to the car at the built in jack holes that are in the frame. Large 2" diameter holes that are located on each corner of the frame behind the front wheels and in front of the rear wheels.
That way there's no way the car will move fore and aft, nor side to side, but there's still plenty of room to let the body move up and down over bumps without stressing the frame or axles.

HTH.

Go to Home depot and get your straps, their around 20 bucks apiece with hooks at both ends and NO shipping. That is where I got mine.

Do you have any pictures of them?

None right at the moment as they are in my trailer across town where I store it. They came with 4 straps and I think two or four over the axle straps(I can't remember. I know for sure 2 as I use them but I strap to the frame in the front). The straps have the clip so they don't fall off the axle straps is they get a little slack.

Here's his pic

I'm no expert since I only have a street car. But, I always thought you shouldn't do it like the Ebay ones in the first post. Something about heating up the shocks while trailering the car. Made sense to me at the time.
