14 bolt timing cover--new or near new

I see you are also converting over to 87 style, tell me,what are you doing for the fuel filter?? It wont fit in the hot air location, and the 87 location is in the rear,by the frame, which our cars dont have the fittings for.I`m at a loss here as what to do,I havent found anybody who has an answer to that problem, what are you doing about the fuel filter ? Could use a little help here.I be looking for the pics on the timing covers,I thought as long as I have this thing apart for the 87 conversion,I might as well as change the cover,I didnt do that when I built the motor (5k ago),oil press a little low at idle when hot,so maybe this will help out---thanks,,Jack

Ive got one laying in my shed as well from my 40k mile motor that I tore apart. Let me know if you need one. Also what are the hot air parts you have? I have three hotties and like having extra parts lying around.

Jack,
Just sent you pics of my two. Let me know what you think. As for the fuel line and filter... I do not know yet. I received fuel lines with my conversion, but assumed they were for the front of the car, not the location you are talking about. I will have to check. If I don't have the rear lines, and am in the same boat you are in, I will most likely have some high pressure lines fabricated, and mount the filter either at the tank/framerail like you said, or up front similar to the 85 setup. My engine compartment is a bit sparse right now, so I will have to see what I am going to encounter...

When i converted my NA 87 regal to a turbo car, i used the old feed line as my new return. I then purchased a new flexable -8 hose from summit and put the AN fuel filter inline with my new feed line-
I routed my new feed line on the pass side up the frame and ran it straight to the pass side of the rail.

They run $130 plus shipping. Complete with gears, seals and new filter housing. Thanks,Frank

fuel filter

If you are have the stock 87 lines just connect them to old 84 lines in front and go back under the drivers door spot and cut the fuel feed line there in stock location and buy 2 3/8 repair lines that comes with the right fittings for a gm (same fuel filter)at any auto zone and 6 inches of fuel INJ line not just fuel line and 4 fuel INJ 3/8 hose clamps and put it right in that spot done it ten times works perfect no leaks use all fuel inj stuff. Good luck takes about 1 hr to do.

Good luck mark

squid---thanks for your trouble, but I think I`d be better off with a new one considering the fact that I`m chasing a "ghost" of a problem here,so a new one would be smart for me to do---thanks any way,,Jack
