i had a tranny line chafe thru on the other tranny line. Is there supposed to be a bracket that holds them to the oil pan, Should i just go w/ new flexible stainless lines . what are my options.

I prefer 5/16" steel tubing. I don't like braided hose because it insulates the fluid from the air, and it can cause other problems like hidden blockages.

I run steel braided and have never had a problem. With the tranny cooler Bruce sells I am always at or under 150 for temps in the line. Max is 190 with back to back drag runs.

How do you run the braided hoses. Cut the stock lines and use those for the ends and use hose clamps to secure the braided hose to the original end. Thanks. The old lines were a pain to get out. It wont be much fun to snake in new steel lines. But if i have to i will.

ss lines prebent

jays gn parts sells stainless pre bent ones that are nice, however they will too rub unless you take a few precautions.:)

Nope. that would not be the way you would want to do that. I have AN fitting on my aftermarket radiator (a Be Cool). If you call whoever you'd buy the braided line and fittings from they can sell you a fitting that would slide over the hard line, you'd flair it to a 37 degree and it will connect to the AN fitting you install on the end of the braided line. That would be the correct and only way I would do it. Snaking the braided line is cake compared to the hard line. Call Bruce or Chris, or one of the other tranny suppliers on the board and I bet you they will get you all setup. Now would be an excellent time to install a cooler and temp gauge if you don't already have one.

Thanks, i will call bruce tommorrow and see if he sells lines and hardware. A cooler and gauge is a good idea too , thanks. Rich.:)
If hottogo is out there. do you have parts like this in joliet. Im not too far as i live in manteno and work at midway airport. Ill talk to bruce tommorrow.
