Pulled the sensor tonight and it's got an NKT-Japan part number and a Ford oval stamped on it. frickin' FrankenBuick:mad:

What do I need to ask for at the Buick parts counter? The wiring is two white, one gray and one black. TIA

What plug does it have?
Square should be Denso 234-4018 $32.09 for 97-99 Riviera 3.8
Round should be Denso 234-3002 $35.52 for 87-93 Mustang 5.0
Flat should be Denso 234-3005 $42.89 for 94 S10 4.3

I bought the 234-4018 first (might still be in the garage) and it did not fit. Then I found out the Caspers used different sensors over the years. Mine was a ford O2 don't know what numbers were stamped on it (might still be in the garage also), but the234-3002 was a direct fit. I have not seen or used the flat plug.

Mine uses the standard GM 3 wire, I guess you'd call it flat, not round and not square. Any chevy/buick place should be able to cross the AFS-74 to an actual part number. Wish I would have saved the packaging.

Thanks for the input guys.

The Ford P/N referenced to Denso 234-4046. Looked like five dozen applications over the last 10-12 years. I cut the new round plug off and put the exisiting square plug onto the new wires. Don't know why someone went to all this trouble, just to make extra work for me later.
