need some help

i have 86 t . in the glove box box is a switch that goes to to ecm . I dont know what is dose when i flip the switch the engine light comes on . I have traced the it to the ecm one side goes to a yellow wire. the other side goes to a yellow with a black stripe both are in the blue plug .ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT THANKS CK

yes it will start. it dose not seem to do anything other than make the engine light come on
