Here is a little history of this car I picked up, its an 87GN and it threw a Rod suspect that they were not properly torgue'd when the engine was recently rebuilt, Anyhow here is my perdicament.....the car has a PTE-51 with the Poston 212-204 cam 110....it also had a set of hyperuretic .030 Poston Piston's and ported Steel Heads with larger valves...I have a 62 turbo and 50lb injectors and an 8 pos Max Effort Chip just sitting in a Box was wondering with which turbo I should go with the 51 or the 62 with the 50lb injectors......Well that is my situation, some of you may already know this cars History I got it from ARMYMP over here in Hawaii.....so any and all insight is welcome.....I also replaced the hyperuretic pistons with a set of .030 Forged should be able to hold the boost better than the hyperuretic ones or so I've been told.......and my last concern is that I picked up a set of high rev lifters from poston's as well will they work with the old cam.....cam is still good......

well, of course the bigger turbo, with the right converter will be better on the strip. The 51 may feel better on the street with pump gas. What are you going to use car for the most? I have three different turbos for my Subaru. I swap them all the time. When drag season ends, I pack away my big turbo, it stinks on the street.

daily driver/weekend racecar

and the car has an art carr tranny with a 2800 tc in it, not sure about the injectors though suspect they may be stock replacements not enough for the 51
