Need step by step for Direct Scan

Using on windows 98. Need to know how to install directly on the desktop without a shortcut. Need to be easy to do attachments for emails.

You could create a "Shortcut" on the desktop that points to the DS.exe program, which most likely resides at c:\ds\ds.exe if it was not custom installed.
But...I have never gotten DS to work well if ran in a Window under MS Windows, always had the best luck rebooting the machine in DOS mode and running it under native DOS. And this was with Win95 and Win98.
