Need to Get Converter Rebuilt

Hi All,

Need opinions. As you know from my previous posts my converter went this summer in my stage car (TH400). 4000 stall Art Car that now stalls to 6000+ off the trans brake. Strange staging the car and having the shift light some on before you have released the trans brake…..

Does it really matter if I send it back to Art Carr or can a reputable trans shop rebuild it? What about sending it to a different vendor like TCI who I know also does this service? Don’t know if sending it back to Art Carr will get it to the “real” Art Carr . I know there are reputable transmission shops that do race cars and transmission. No I wouldn’t be sending it to Aamco... Really just want to do what’s best as I don’t want a problem!
