On to the next problem with GN. Right window wont go up with switch, can put jump box to motor and it works fine. Got to have broke wire somewhere and need a diagram to look at.Also tried new switch, goes down but not up. Years ago the resistor looking thing on cooling fan got broke and I wired it to a heavy duty switch inside car and just turn fan on when temp gets high. I'd like to put it back like it was with the option of turning it on if I wanted to. Where can I get one of the resistors or can I just by pass it some how?

Assuming passenger window which switch won't operate it?

Both the pass. and drivers side switches have to be in good working order for the pass. window to go up and down.

Wiggle both a few times (2 People or long arms) in the middle off and up positions.

Usually it's one switch drivers master or pass. switch that won't work, rarely is it a wire.

Switches in the OFF position pass the ground and power to the other.

Both need to be checked prior to assuming it's a wire.

You can jump the resistor and the fan will operate on HIGH with ECM, A/C, and high temp. switch signals.

You can tie the black and the red stripe and the black with pink stripe wires together direct to the fan + lug and it will run high speed when any fan relay switches on.

DON'T tie the solid black wire to any of those that's the ground which should be on it's own fan lug now.

It's hard to see those stripes after all these years.

Fan relay from G-body or James TTAowner used.

Or in the parts section from someone reputable if you want it to work stock like.

so if the driver's switch is bad it won't allow the passenger window to work on the passenger switch? I can operate both windows from the driver's side but the passenger side doesn't work even after trying 3 different passenger switches.

That is correct.

The passenger switch is sending the proper signals to the driver side when OFF and it is able to control the pass. window, but when OFF the drivers switch is not sending the signals to the passenger switch to allow control.

No matter how many pass. switches you try it's probably the OFF position of the drivers switch that's bad.

Try wiggling the drivers side pass. control switch near the OFF position while operating one of the new pass. side switches you may find a point that will allow it to work which would prove it's the drivers switch that's bad.

Wiggling to me is about 1/8" up and down movement in each direction at the control.

Maybe you can save pic and zoom, or shoot me a pm and I'll send e-mail.
