Yes I should have advised that, was talking to some leg:D I think you definately got some spyware going on.

I do have an adware removal software on my pc, pulled up alot of spyware and removed them but didnt fix the problem. This one has me stumped. I tried everything from spyware removal, to virus scans, to resetting the websettings , and restoring my pc to a date where the problem didnt exists. I dont know what else to do. Thanks Carlos

carlos, just something else to try to see if you can narrow down.... do all the windows updates. also install Netscape on your machine see if your able to use that. Most applictions that hijack your machine use IE not netscape. see if it works with that and we can move forward with correcting the probelm

Hey Arista5, I installed Netscape and it works, I can search. So now what do I do? I would rather use IE. Thanks

I think I may see what is going on here......

When you're doing this "Search", are you clicking Search on the toolbar? And it opens a pane on the left side of the browser?

If so, click Customize on the toolbar INSIDE the search engine. I'm thinking that the engine that was defined in your browser is no longer where it was. You should be able to use the check boxes in the Customize dialog to fix it. I'd suggest choosing "Use one search service", then pick your favorite from the list.
