Hey guys, I was wondering what would it take for an 84 Gn to perfome like an 86 or 87? I know the 84 doesn't have an intercooler, but what else make the diff between them. Thanks

In order for an 84 to perform like an 87 you must have the correct Tophat and Cane... or some bacon flavoured treats.

Thanks jack ass.

LOL ask a stupid question...your gonna get a stupid answer

Next time try a little research before you post in the LOUNGE section..a place ment for off topic conversation and or subject to humor in response to a question you could have got the answer too by....once again doing a little research.

So as your question was answered by the last two post's first one being a bunch of upgrades custom fabbed intercooler plus an ECM from an 86/87 and the second was upgrade to an 86/87 powerplant

you can see why my answer of that being a tophat and a cane plus a scooby snack made about as much sense as taking a Hotair and doing all the work to make it perform as an intercooled version when you can just save up some dough and buy an 86/87 and have a fresh slate in which to work. or just drive your Hotair and dont worry if its quick enough or if it is performing like somthing else, if its clean and runs good..dont %&^$ with it

Oh and your welcome:biggrin:

proof? according to whom?

A.j.

During the design and implementation of the 86 and 87 block GM installed a little known option called "Iludium P38 Space Modulator" What it did was help to prevent these blocks from blowing up but what they failed to realize was that these little devices may one day fall into the wrong hands and be used to blow up the earth.

Or was it a Q-36 Explosive space modulator?....hmmmmm

First off, your just a tool. It kills me how peole talk crazy over the internet. You wouldn't say anything like that in person. Second, I was researching, this is a TB web site right? The reason I asked is because I have never owend or drove any Turbo Buick. I'm first to say i don't know jack squat about a GN, so that is why i'm asking. Just sit back and don't post on this thread if it bothers you so much since you know it all.

Posting in the lounge is like walking into a bar and saying "hey what are you looking at ?" You never know what the reaction will be. Here most of the time it's funny.

yeah all in good humor...he really answered his own question regarding the hotairs dont have innercoolers.....its all about charge temps, Of course if my first response to his thread was that he was a bloomin idiot for asking such a worthless question then I would set myself up for some good names...but since I got two names tossed at me for some silly humor that was not ment to hurt his feelings in anyway..one really hurt my 1st/275 82nd feelings, but anyway its a nice day outside

Ouch. Calm down bro.

He cracked a joke. That happens a lot here. If you truly took offense, you might want to stay away from most any other message board on the internet. This place is pretty calm.

If you truly want some tech answers, use the search feature. For the record, I'm not being sarcastic. I've been registered here for a long time. But I didn't get a GN until back in October, 08. I needed and wanted to know a LOT of info. I searched my ass off and found the answers to most every question I had without having to start a new thread. The tech sections here are FULL of great info.

Either way, good luck with your car. :)
