Ford Motor Company announced today a new color for the 2007 Shelby Cobra by SVT. In anticipation of the overwhelming demand for the car, the new color will be appropriately named:

Unobtanium ;)

A second new color was also announced. In view of the possibility of dealer "Market Adjustments", Ford will also offer the car in:

Dark Blue Gouge-onite

Participating dealers will be wearing a red bandana over their faces for easy recognition by eager buyers.

So basically they are using the carryover colors from the Ford GT

How Much For These Cars

I talked to a dealership here in Carlsbad, CA and said they will be going for 75-80K  Is this correct?

z06 hp ratings are underrated,Probably 40 to50 hp shy of stated value. If the rumored "blue devil" package ever makes production, that overpriced, over weighted stang wont stand a chance.

Ford looks like they 1upd Chevy, Again

Did you see the video of the new vette with headers, exhaust and a 150 shot??? It made 700+ without a tune and could easily be turned back to stock if something went sour with the motor.....
I wish i had either car  They are both baddass....

The Blue Devil (if even built) will be a $85-100k car. It SHOULD spank the Cobra for that kind of money.

The thing is, for a few shillings in the Cobra, it will most likely still wax the Vette. Although, like you, I would rather have the Vette! ;)

I'd rather have the Vette...and anything with some tweaking can be faster than another car!

Al I have to say is that it is from a mustang site, and everyone knows they are all weenies, trying to be better then everyone, Who has a new GT500 with those mods, let alone a GT500  .

Hey I'm a Mustang guy :) . Personally I have seen weenies on damn near every site.

Me, I like 'em all. The Vette is probably the best put together package for the money in the world. It is a great car. The GT500, once all the hype dies down and the first few thousand are sold to the guys/gals who have to have one, will come back down to normal list, especially MY '08, will still be a fantastic car at $45K. Minimal mods will take that car well over 500rwhp. The 5.4 with the Ford GT heads and intake is a great combo.

Problem with the Mustang, and just about any car made today, except maybe the Vette, they all need a serious diet. I can't wait to see if the Challanger ever comes out, but I see it will be just like the Charger at 4000+ pounds.

What a deal for B-J: the seller pays 8% commission AND the BUYER pays another 8%!!!

For the $4.1 million bus (GM "Power of Progress") that works out to a nice $656,000 commission!!!! For about 5-6 minutes of work on the block. They seller had stated he hoped to get something more than $600,000 for the thing.

Talk about a dick-swinging contest.

I'm DEFINITELY in the wrong line of work.

It will be called the Corvette SS and it will almost deffinately be built. From what I hears vendors have already been notified.
