I got burned a few times buying worn out junk! Either people are dishonest or have no clue how to measure what's left. Brand new would be awesome!

Good luck on that one. Folks have been asking for years . B weavy was talking bout it but think the project died out

What is the real benefit of using aluminum? Just weight savings?

Some weight saving...but also move the wheels out about 1/4 inch for more clearance if using bigger tires.

5lbs lighter and an 1/8th of an inch of Positive Offset.

I'm sure Bweavy didn't want to take on all the upfront cost and uncertainty on sales. I wouldn't do it if I owned a business, you'd need to sell them at $250 minimum I'd bet unless you had them done in China.

Actually spoke with Lee today. His father was the one doing the castings. He is also an insurance adjuster (retired from his own forgery business a few years back). Apparently his job has been keeping him pretty busy.
Beleive me this isn't forgotten. There are up front costs that have been spent. Just motivating people isn't the easiest thing in the world. Yes we will be looking at about $225 to $250 a set made in the U.S. It is also being redisigned not to get hair line cracks easily as the originals did.

More power to ya Brian, I hope you get rewarded for all of this. The time and upfront costs would enough to scare me away, especially considering what the next two years might look like economy wise.

But the good thing is that there are a lot of cars that use this sized drum.

The amount of vehicles that use these is why I'm not scared.
