Building new motor, need help on a few items, or direction.
Just got a set of Champion iron heads, champion intake, 70mm T/B, Hemco plenum, translator and lt1maf.

Next on list are forged pistons more than likely JE 20 or 30 over, center mains caps, 60# injectors and alky.

Know the fun starts:
cam want to go roller thinking 214

For turbo I have a TE44, TA49 that needs rebuild and looking at a good deal on a gt6152e,

And for converter was looking at Pro Torque 91/2" billet l/u converter 2800-3200

What do you guys think, will that cam, turbo and converter work good with the rest of the parts I bought and what in my sig?

Or will something else work better , I appreciate any help.

Whats the goal with the rebuild?

Street killer or strip use? Both ?

Forged crank and rods. Dont go 30 or 40 over on the bore unless its necessary. You can use a stock stroke crank and it will work just fine.

When you put a stroker in there, you have to clearance a lot of things to make it work. Its just more work.

Weber racing sells a rotating assembly for 1400 all forged stuff.

You can use the heads and intake. Keep the cam mild you dont need an aggressive profile. The turbo will make the power.

The 6152 would be good. Keep it a 3 bolt turbo.

You will probably need bigger injectors. Check on that.

Your torque converter needs to be a higher stall. I recommend a 9 inch with 3600 stall speed.

Once you do all of that I hope the trans is built to take the abuse.

My 2 cents. Good luck.

Yes.
A single fuel pump may not be enough. You may have to upgrade to a double pumper.

I say

20 over bore
214/214 cam
stock intake
60lb inj are fine with alky
3200 stall call PTE
single xp pump good for low 10's

with your set up low 11's

214 roller is alot of cam!

will need 3200 + stall, more like 3400.
I used a te45a w/ 214, and made over 600 rwhp, stock heads, intake, ex.
alky is the answer, will run out of fuel other wise, I had 75# inj, and would be lean without alky!

Got a fresh Zimmerman Racing Engine, CP pistons, Eagle Rods, CAT forged Crank, Center Billet mains,JW wheel, BHJ balancer, All assembled and set up with a Danny BEE cam retention plate. Located in Phoenix. 4000.00 for everything. If you are interested, sold the car that the motor was going into.
