I like the write ups, cant wait to see one in person:cool:

It's going to be a nice ride, I loved my LS1 f-bodies, i just really, really don't care for all this retro styling. I would never buy one.
I'd take one for a test drive though ;)

Steve,

Thanks for the link.
I am not fond of the Pro Mob body treatment but I can sure appreciate the motor!

Yeah I'm kinda still trying to understand how you could actually call it a 2010 Camaro when GM never actually built it:confused:, but nonetheless as you said the motor almost makes up for it!

I'll believe it when I see the car on the street. People have been talking about this since 2002, and it's gotten a little old.

Hard to believe that GM is going through with it since the economy is in the crapper. GM's stability has been in question in the last 2 weeks and they released the gas guzzling ZR-1 todayCorvette rolls out $103,000 super car | www.tennessean.com | The Tennessean
I like the ZR-1, but I think the camaro should have picked up where it left off and went modern or contemporary as the Vette did. The retro perspective may date this car in 5 years. All in all however, it means another camaro on the street to beat up. haha.

doesn't matter what the economy is like....the economy doesn't affect the people who can buy ZR-1s

the kicker is to see a high revving DOHC v6 in a camaro

The interior is horrible
But I would still buy one yesterday if I had the money.
That car look awesome

True, but the economy does affect people who buy base camaros and the same folks who would prefer a Z-28 and more power. They should make a Z-L1 with the Supercharged vette motor that costs half as much that would compete with the Shelby 500 or whatever the stang is called. Cost about $55K and run 11.80's stock.

Anyone notice the TORQUE gauge in the video, or was I seeing things?
Thats is kinda cool. I've never seen a torque gauge before.

Here's a rumour...I talked with someone from GM yesterday and he told me the Z28 option might get scrapped

I'd venture to say at this point it looks like more fact than rumor, if you read the press release that John posted they make absolutely no mention of a Z28 model. I heard something similar on another site, kinda sucks considering the Z28 option was the more affordable V8 base model. The V6 Camaro sounds like it should have a good bit of potential for the aftermarket this time around and maybe GM is thinking with gas prices going through the roof that they need to make the V6 more appealing to the buyer.

The Name Z/28 was scrapped a long time ago. It is now the Camaro SS. There looks to be like several trim levels though.

The 3.6 V-6 with 300HP is going to carry the Camaro as far as sales go. Just like the V-6 Mustang. You gotta go where the sales are at. There are a lot of fat chics in this world. And that is why the Challenger is going to fail. After the hype of the SRT-8 dies down than who gives a sh*t?

I've got the 2009-2010 Camaro shop manual on my latest FSM CD. And I don't access to look at it!

And the Camaro will be built. The plant in Oshawa Ontario has been shut down for months retooling to build them. I sell a lot to the fleets(rental cars) and I've noticed from the VINs that GM shifted the Impala over to the other side where the GP and LaCrosse are made so they can start building the Camaro and later on the G8 on that line.

Do your homework...Challenger will have two 6 cyls available next year. And a small V8...and a big V8. That will cover ALL aspects of sales on this car...skinny chics too!!

Luckily, they didn't decide to scrap their performance model.
