In my experience, the bigger the story, the more build up, the bigger the pos the car is. A good car will stand on its own merit and probably be sold long before you get there. The longer it sits the lower the offer. This works with real estate too.

as is where is, that is what the auction says at a lot of farm auction sales that i go too
there is allways few cars and pickup trucks along with big trucks, the auctioneer says all
sales are final, so you look at what you are going to bid on, i have been stuck a few
times. good luck, oc,,

"Stuck a few times"???? You mean you ended up with the worn out heifers???

hahahaha.. our auctioneer's favorite quote. "You bid it, you bought it , You OWN it !!" :p NO questions, No crying.. you looked at it an BOUGHT it  I call em PARTS CARS !

Are inquiring about "Lemon Law" on a used car? That doesn't exist. Small claims court for you my friend.

Well it has been 2 months 9 days and there is an update on this whole issue!!! I will post later...

Saturday (7 July 2012), I took back my 86 T-Type (This is Kenne Bells test car - documents proving) new car dealer. The General Manager had agreed to buy back the car due to it having a broke frame on the left and right side. The lower control arm mounts are completely torn from the frame on the top side and bottom side of the mount. The drivers side has been weld up once before and now has torn/ripped from the frame; leaving a hole from the mount where it has been welded. Had the vehicle inspected and an estimate written on the process and repairs to fix both sides of the frame. Damage was $6000+. That is half of what I paid for the car.

Now to all that said I am screwed, I like to say thanks for the help. But just to let you know that if you work the issue politically and properly, things will work out.

NOW IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN THIS CAR FOR THE HISTORY, SEND ME AN PM AND YOUR NUMBER AND I WILL GIVE YOU THE DETAILS.

I have a damn nice frame here that is worth all of $200. Swap the damn body over and be done with it, hell with repairing that crap. Sounds like it may have had a hard launch, maybe 2 in its lifetime....

Well I didn't want to do that. The value of the car and history would have went down the drain, since the VINs match. I just wanted to be free and clear of the car. AND I AM 100%. If you want it, I will give you details on where you can buy it.

Oh no, I have enough of these damn things already. :) I'd just hope that the car doesn't get scrapped over the deal. Frame swaps aren't that big of a deal. 40-50,000 turbo regals built from 84-up, how many people do you think checked their frame vin against the body? Or the engine? Probably 5 people. I know I haven't and never will. I know you didn't look that close either or you'da never bought it in the first place. :p
