Wait until you see the Vette in person at the auto show. From alot of pics it looked too much like my C5, but after new pics and the video have been released, it looks alot better and alot different. You can DL the whole 2 minute commercial on GM's website. I'm wondering if the Chevelle at the end is a little hint of the future.
OBTW, the new vette with 400 (problably underrated so as not to piss off current ZO6 owners) HP will only cost a couple grand more than the current Vette, and has more standard options, and if the 500HP ZO6 cost under $60k, it can't get anymore affordable than that.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the mass produced Chevelle big blocks, Chevrolet is designing and manufacturing a composite over steel body car to look exactly like a 1966 SS396 Chevelle. It will be placed on an extended wheelbase C6 chassis with same available drivetrains and priced at about $48K base.
Just kidding, would be nice! A more realistic thing they could do though would be to sell LS6 (427) powered Holdens, maybe call it an SS ( Chevelle ?) though subtle with no wings, scoops, etc., just the LS6 and small SS emblems thank you. Though IMO still don't think the style is much to look at, a Chevrolet motor powered Holden sold in Chevrolet dealerships would be a more acceptable thing to do, and if they do, don't let the Pontiac GTO have the LS6 option, just the Chevy!
i like the vette, not as much as the c5, or c4, and so on but its not bad. i'd say chevys best looking car they make anymore.
it does look like something non chevy but every new car is ugly now, i guess i'd call it the least ugly new car.
why the hell did they do away with the hide away headlights!!!!!!that was the biggest screw up on the whole car.
the first time i saw the commercial i though it was for a new rx-8, they really do look similar, its those headlights!
the truck is ugly as a horses ass, the new little thing looks like a new version of a ford festiva, the malibu looks, ...bad. the ssr's cool but you can't buy them so whats the point. i'd have to say the semi was one of the better looking cars in the commerical...

I don't know but that SSr is pretty cool lookin!!!

I suppose a guy could spice it up by adding a supercharger!
