I'm running an SMC single nozzle alky kit and an LS1 MAF/translator. I've been running an extender chip set at 19*/17* timing with wastegate % at 85/80. Basically a 93 octane chip. With this setup, I've been able to run 21 psi with 0 KR.

I just had a new extender chip burned with 23*/21* timing and the wastegate % at 90/85. Basically a 98 octane chip.

When I pop in the chip, can I expect my boost levels to remain at 21 psi, even though the wastegate % changed in the chip ?

If anyone else is running a similar setup (see sig), what kind of boost are you able to run ?

I do plan to back down the boost and to around 18 or so, and work my way back up from there.

Thanks,
Jeff

Once you run more timing your more likely to encounter knock. Not always but usually. If you change the wastegate DC it will also cuase you to run more boost in third and fourth. The chip is designed to pull boost out when the car hits third/fourth since engine load increases and so does boost.

I personally like more boost and less timing. But thats me.

So your boost question..1/2 stays the same..3/4 goes up hows that.

The 90/85 chip will add a few pounds of boost over the previous version. The exact boost levels depend on your wastegate configuration. The chip will still attempt to reduce boost in high gear.

I run a similar chip, straight denatured, 24 psi boost.
