Just started using ds. I am seeing spark advance 26 degree at wot. How accurate is this? My chip is suppose to be 24 degree.

Lee you still run red's chips correct? Cause our reading shows a bit higher then it's rated for, I would venture to guess that this isn't a 100% accurate. I will check some of our files tonight, but I think DS reads a little high.

How can DS read "a little high" when all it does is read the information from the computer? It's very possible that a 24* chip will read higher than 24*. It depends what the conditions are as to what spark advance the engine uses.

If you're not seeing any knock I wouldn't worry about it. I'd check the LV8 and the MAF among other things to make sure they are maxed like they should be. Anyone have an image of his chip we can throw in an editor and check the table??

Yes, Reds chip. As expected, the spark advance moves around under part throttle. At wot and full load it reads a steady 26 degrees.
