Just got about 15 in. We had 37 & they sold out in a few weeks.
GBodyParts.com Online
If you own 1 Buick & need it for a spare thats great please do not buy 3 if you have 1 car so they can be spread around a little bit.

nice that you got them...they are hard to find but i believe napa online has them as well for 111.00...saw a post on this earlier not sure if they are exact or what.

 I saw that post, the NAPA number was NBH38374 @$111.00 and the guy put a pic up which was the correct part AND the post also listed Summit part # GTR49369 @ $87.00 but was not certain if it was the correct part but looked that way from the description.

All this is doing is taking the guessing game out of the equation. I paid big $ for these.

.

Nothing wrong with sharing some info though....that's what these forums are for.

Agreed but it shouldnt be done in a thread where a paying vendor is trying to sell new OEM parts. A new thread should be started in the general TR tech section if there are other sources for questionable replacement parts.

I'm OK guys. There are aftermarket resources for these I would love to have them. I just found with my experience there is no after market quality the same as real GM just like weather stripping etc..
One day there will be nothing but aftermarket sources. Try it out & report back.
There will always be customers who want to go the cheapest way possible & others who demand nothing but GM.

Then is the rest of us that go aftermarket when we have to or cost negates there is no way I'm paying that much for a discontinued GM part.
That is what makes the world go around.

Brian, you're getting very philosophical in your old age. :)

Chris it may be the lack of beer at this time of day on a Friday.

4:00 on a Friday & just getting ready to crack a Corona. Man something just isn't right here! ;)

...absolutely nothing wrong with the price you are charging for those tensioners ...like i said they are near impossible to find...i think some other site has some of the oem ones for 249 i think...these oem ones you have are very important to someone who is doing a full stock rebuild or who have kept their cars completely stock...those people will really need these parts...and im sure the quality is better being from gm...now that gm isnt making them anymore eventually everyone will have to find aftermarket ones because these do break a lot heh so brian is right...maybe a good idea to save these for the full stock owners so they can stay truely authentic...didnt mean to hi jack any thread just talkin parts...the vendor will have no problem selling these because the price is right and gm discontinued them...i would buy one but my car is now far from stock and i bought a used one and i also ordered one from napa so ill let everyone else know how that one turns out and looks...hopefully like i said these ones go to the full stock owners where they should be...sorry if i was out of line was no ill intent ...thanks noah.

 I brought the last new GM tensioner from Brian (per Brian) a while ago. So it's good that he has found some more "OEM's" in their "original box's" but sharing info I think is a good thing too.
Some of the aftermarket stuff i.e. crank & TPS sensors I have found to be better/or just as good as GM/Delco in some brands. From the pic that was put up by the guy who bought the NAPA one it looks the "same" as OEM and if your going to buy aftermarket why not try the Summit one, if I remember right it's made by Goodyear or someone like that and see if you get the right part for 90 bucks, you can always send it back.

No ill intent taken bud.
The reason I cleaned GM out the first time is so you wouldn't have to pay $249.00 for tensioners.
I was lucky enough to be contacted to buy these units. We make a profit but were not hammering anyone. I could e-bay them & get over $200 each but just offering first come first serve.
That is why I limited the amount bought by an individual. If it was about the $ they would be alot more.
Kinds of reminds me of Grills. Who thought I would pay $500 for an 87 Grill a year later after they were discontinued? I did this week on an insurance job.
I was selling them 6 months ago for $400.
Supply & demand.
