I saw that. If they build it, a lot would sell I imagine. I wonder how maxed they are from the factory? Only so much power can come from a stock fuel system, bottom end, and driveline.

Well, since it's only a concept right now, the 'stock' or production configuration can wind up being whatever they choose.

while a cool car, and I would love to see it made, I think the cost will cut down the potential buyers. Also, I think I could get over it, but its a Ford...

They said it would be around 50k...or the price of a c6 vette

Think about inflation

$50,000 is alot of money. However consider this: in 1987 alot of GNs cost around $18,000. In 2005 money, that would be $30,200. Add in all the airbag costs that would now be standard and the other safety stuff and a GN could easily be $34,000. This is the cost of a GTO which is similar in performance. In a nutshell, we own what were fairly expensive cars not available to the average Joe. Imagine how many new "enternally-wished-for-but-will-never-happen" new GNs would actually be sold, not just leased. How many $50,000 cars would actually get sold? Ford knows it is not that many to make it a profit leader, hence it is a halo-type vehicle for bragging rights only.

The execs seem to have covered the bases so to speak. Realizing that not everyone interested will be able to afford a Lincoln, they are also contemplating a Ford branded version which will, no doubt, be more affordable. It's cool too but will make HP the old fashioned way; displacement. I'm partial to the Lincoln's twin hairdryers! :p

I like it, and to think Lincoln was getting starved by Ford for a long time to die off and now they have cooler looking cars.

Keep the price high, it will revive Lincoln's name as being high class and not an average Joe car or company. That's a one of a kind car in looks and motor etc, nice job Lincoln.

At first it sounded like an Ecotec motor.

Luxury cars need at least 8 cylinders - even Acura appears to be seeing the V8 light.

Especially old school Lincoln buyers that think V8 is better than V6 now matter what...
