Hello all! I don't know if I belong here, but all well. I love Grand National cars, but never owned one. I have a super clean Monte Carlo turbo. It is black and has a draw through buick turbo engine in it so I can be on a buick sight right? I'm working on repowering it with a 3800 turbo engine. Already started rounding up parts from a 96 comaro. Not sure how to get the engine and trany to run on a stand alone system. Any links, advice, or help would be appreciated.

That's a rare car. Not so much valuable, but rare. Got any pics of it? Where you at in Iowa?

That's a nice car. You can get some decent power out of the carb turbo cars. I think 300hp should be attainable. A homemade methanol kit would work well.

It sounds like a guy would have to do a lot of work to achieve that kind of horsepower. It would still be a maybe I think.

The hp isn't important. It's the torque. Do the free/cheap mods to it. It will really wake up and I think you'll be impressed.

Make sure everything is working as it should on your carb. Replace any deteriorating vacuum lines, cold air intake, no converter with straight through muffler. This alone should wake it up

Routing some nozzles into the bonnet for 50/50 mix of methanol and water would allow for more boost and big gains.

Also check to make sure your driver side manifold isn't cracked.
