i went to the nats about 14yrs ago with my 1st buick. (im on my 2nd) it was a consistent 12 and change car. the track and surrounding area was really nice. alot of fond memories. me and a buddy drove the buick and i meant to race when i got down there but the entire drive down we were hearing a ticking sound and couldnt isolate it. so we hung out and watched the races bought some parts and drank all night. on the way home the ticking kept getting louder. i dropped him at home and a mile from my house THE CAR DIED. just shut off. after all those hours of driving it died a mile from home. damn crank sensor!! the one i have now runs real strong. it aint no 12 and change car:rolleyes:

oh yeah you got any pics?

o ya

Ya the old crank sensor have had a few of those go. and start rubing how they get to that point im not sure. Im working on getn pics up kinda new at this computer thing. you have a ls1 maf on your car? I have a older style translator but not sure what maf to get. Terry

I've got a translator plus. I'm on my second LS1 maf tho. I had one go bad but they're relatively inexpensive and easy enough to find.

version1

I believe i have the version 1 translator. its got colorful writing on it . I will hopefully pick up a maf at a event . How do you like your converter. I need to get one and trying to deciede which one. yours a 3400? what type of 60fts do you get

I have a vigilante 3200-3400 multi disk. Its very strong but I have complaints. First off its noisy as hell at idle and second when it locks up it locks up. I mean it locks up so hard and abrupt I've actually been worried about something breaking. I've read that there are things I could do to lessen the blow just never got around to it. With the dual ball bearing turbo the rjc boost valve and the converter boost is instantaneous. I know this sounds crazy but I actually need some turbo lag. Imagine your driving down the road at 65mph and decide to roll in to the throttle (not floor it) but roll in to it and the back ends going sideways:eek::I have not yet taken it to the track. Previous owner was going mid 11s prior to some upgrades. its just a street car

nice

looks like a nice street car and even mid 11s is a very fast street car. I was talking to the hertlines and they said they get theres from a company in alabama so i mite try them. Hope you get yours worked out.

Thanks and yeah I'm thinking about selling it and getting
A pats conveter. A lot of the guys in my club recommend them for cars that spend 99.9% of their time on the street. If its hartline you're talking to your in good hands. They make buicks fast. Keep us informed on your progress and get some pics up.
