welcome!

stay tuned for more adventures of the buick forum............

visit often to see when next meet up is going to happen,
also here is your best bet for info/assistance on anything buick related.

Welcome!
We have a few guys here from Pendleton, and several more within 30 minutes of Pendelton. You're in good company!

Now prepare to have your mind warped and your morals challenged to the core.

The Marine Corp has nuttin' on the Southwestern Section!

;-)

If you can get away to Phoenix there is a big meet there next weekend. You will see lots of flying bricks with high pitched whistles going down the track.

Most of Southern Cal will be there as well.

How long have you had the car? We've got a hand full of TTAs in the area. Neat cars.

Welcome to the Dark Side.

From One Huey / Cobra Mech To Another

Welcome aboard Matt

I spent alot of years at Pendleton at HMA-169 back in the old days ('75)

I was a 6125 (engine mech) initially but got over to being a 6114 when the AH-1J's & UH-1N's first came out

Did the whole plane captain, collateral duty inspector, Huey crew chief, test mechanic, quality assurance rep, and finally went to namtragrudet where I spent 3 years teaching the 8 week helo mechs course and the pilots familiarization course

I also did some time in Marietta, GA at the Cobra, Huey, OV-10 detachment before I got into the Warrant Officer Program and became an NBC Officer

Good luck in Japan and we look forward to seeing your TTA once you get back

Regards,

Ray

I was stationed aboard the USS Midway out of Yokoska Harbor in Japan for 3 years from 85-88. The Midway is a museum in San Diego now....that's how I know I'm old.

I was a flight deck trouble shooter for the Radar, com/nav, and weapons control systems on the F/A-18's in VFA-192. We'd stay in Atsugi whenever we were in port.

I also did a 3 month detatchment in Iwakuni.

You'll like Japan. Fun place, friendly people.
Expensive tho'.

I did 2 years in Iwakuni......where are you going.....probably Okinawa. Let me know if you wanna cruise the Brick before you leave.
