new headers

confused. not sure internal or external wastegate. iknow downpipe is either one or the other. but what about the headers. can they be used with either type of downpipe. also how restrictive is the stock exhaust elbow with a 3 inch downpipe on a cpt61 non ballbearing turbo. thanks for any responces.

yeah sometimes i do that . not communicate very well, at least that's what my EX says. i'm looking into buying new headers. i'm sorry to waste anyones time ithink i know the answer. any header can be used with an external wastegate. am i correct?

The thing to watch out for is the THDP style pipes when running headers. There is a specific pipe that is made for running ATR headers.

If you go to an external gate, you *shouldn't* have problems with headers. Your best bet would be to talk to the header supplier and see what he suggest.
