Hey fellas, I just bought my first grand national, its an 86 in good shape supposiingly 500hp, and a ton of internal work done to it, but I dont care, its runs strong, and the body is straight so I like it... I will be changing the wheels and tires soon, but thats probably as far as I will go.... anyway, the sight looks good, and I look forward to looking around and joining the community...

Congrats on the purchase and welcome. Where are you located? Be sure to check out the regional section and meet some of your local members. Use the search feature allot and welcome again.

Welcome to the dark side!!!! You still need to learn as much as you can about your car so you know what to do if it has a problem cause even a car thats already"done" will need maintence especially a modded one..Its very possible to take a good car and blow the headgaskets out of it etc if you dont know what you are doin..Even somethin as simple as using the wrong octane fuel and getting happy with the throttle can end up costing you thousands !!!! Welcome and happy mustang hunting

welcome! post up pics and specs if you can. and if it doesnt already have it you need to get atleast a scanmaster. gotta keep an eye on any knock.

Thanks guys, Im definelty looking into an onboard wide band {maybe zeitronics, I havent decided yet}... But first Im going to change the wheels...
Does anyone know what the back spacing front and rear has to be? I would like to go 19x10 in the back and 18x8 in the front with as wide a tire as I can fit in the back, but hate to buy a set of wheels to find out they rub... thanks

The old school will ask "why change the wheels?"

The new school will say post up pics of the wheels!"

Either way, welcome to TurboBuick.com.

This IS the best bunch of guys and gals in the community! Take a loooong look around. Be sure to visit GNTTYPE.org - it's the "bible" Buick.

Have a great time, and see you on the boards!
