Hey, guys! I just signed up here on this forum. I just got myself a '99 Buick GS and I LOVE it. Well, I've had it for a couple months now, and I am now looking for more performance. I tried searching on performance parts websites, but I don't think that is working too well. One of my problems is I only know a little bit about cars. What I know is from watching people work on cars and flipping through hot rod magazines. So.... I would love any help you guys can give me. My '99 GS is purely stock right now except for the addition of a K&N filter. I was wondering what options there are for boosting my car's power. What should I upgrade first? What combinations of parts should I use? And places to buy from. I'm guessing The exhaust and intake are the first things to work on, since I do know with engines the more air flowing through it means more power. Also, I saw a Jet performance chip from Summit. $199 I think it was. Is that also something I should get for more horsepower? Or are there better chips out there for my car? I really want to trick out this ride. It's in great shape and already eats the high school kid's suped up Honda's alive. I would love to hear from anyone with thoughs and ideas. please feel free to contact me!
