Looks like a '96 with a cheap body kit. I knew it'd be different, but that's a let down. Kind of screwed up the headlights & grille with that flush look, and the hood is waay too rounded. I'm sure there's a reason, but it just looks very watered down.

oooh no - that's not good at all. I had heard that the concept was pretty much close to what the production car would look like, but it appears as though they've chopped away at it a bit

My God, am I glad that I like the Buick late model turbo cars, because that is just butt ugly. No other description for it.

I mean, first GM designs the GTO to look like, well, every other shapeless mass roaming the streets and then Ford takes the knife to the new Mustang. That concept Mustang had convinced me that I was going to buy one the first production year. Now, I dunno...

that is awfull! the sad part is they'll still sell 1.5 million of them a year. i'm no ford fan but i must say the current body style is quite nice. too bad they didnt stay closer to the concept.

As ugly as it is... there is always room for improvement. In the aftermarket.

I was drooling over the concept Mustang when I saw it at the L.A. auto show. However, if these latest pics are what the production version will look like, I'm glad I have a Buick!!!

The good news:
Between the disappointments of the Magnum SRT-8, the GTO and now the Mustang, there's a lot less motivation for buying a new car in our household. Money saved for the other car goals!

Oh yeah, the Marauder was a let down too, performance-wise.
I thought we were going to see another Golden Age for American cars here?
