New Plugs, and now No Start

A friend of mine suggested I change my plugs. I put A/C Delco R43ts and gap them .3o... I pulled the plugs and replaced them, now the car wont start, and I mean not even close.. So I let it sit for about 2hrs and tried again, still no Dice so I pulled a plug and it smells like race fuel..... Any Suggestions??

Is the ALKY test button pushed in? Are you SURE you have the firing order correct? Pull the plugs, crank it over a few times with the ECM disconnected, let it sit to get all of the fuel out of the cylinders. Replace plugs, check firing order and start vehicle.

With the right socket, none of the plugs are hard to get too. Wobble socket/extension that is one piece works great

the Pass side is #2-4-6..... takes me an hour to change plugs.... I hear guys say Ten min with gaping..... can a .30 have any effect?

I hate to admit but I did have the firing order all screwed up... but now I have the wires on the right plugs, BUT STILL NO START.... Why

Did you disconnect the cam sensor plug?
Do you have a cam sensor tool?
Also check the crankshaft sensor plug.

Im sure it is fuel soaked. Pull the plugs out, disconnect the ECU , crank the engine a couple of times to get the fuel out. Spray the plugs with carb cleaner and let dry. Reinstall plugs.

You didnt by chance find a brown plug and a green plug behind the alternator and connect them together ???

Bryan, No I did touch anything there, But I did disconnect the cam sensor the night before .... The car ran after that but still has the breaking up at 5000 RPMs... I am at the point where I would change just about anything for this motor to run correct.... Where is the crank sensor???

The crank sensor is down at the crank pulley, drivers side. Have you moved the cam sensor at all? Have you checked all of your fuses? Do you get a fuel pump prime when the key is in the on position? Take a plug and connect to a plug wire, lay the plug against a good ground. Turn the car over and see if you have good spark.

X2 !! I still have my sockets and swivels from doin plugs on a 428 Mustang Cobra Jet. Buicks are easy to me.

Take one thing at a time to troubleshoot, if you start to replace everything you still might have the no start and a lot of money being wasted.
Beside the crankshaft sensor, did you move the cam sensor?
Do you have a cam sensor tool?
if not look into both of these type of adjustment:

GNO and Bryan, I did yank on that cam sensor because I thought the front piece came off also, till I see it was just the back of the sensor... Come to think I had to check the wires to make sure they stayed connected... Cam sensor tool????? What is that?? The car seems like it is getting no spark

Look into this site and download the PDF of the Cam Sensor tool as this will explain how the tool works.
Did you remove the Cam Sensor by loosening the bolt, and move or turn the Cam Sensor?
