I am looking for a new drop in radiator for the car, with the engine and trans. cooler..... It is a three core unit...Any guys out there have purchased a new radiator lately??? If so,what brand, and how is it performing....I have not ruled out aluminum as of yet,but am still leaning to original equipment... The local radiator shop wants $250.00 to change the core out....Thanks,Todd

You are limited to having to cough up the funds if you are wanting the 2 coolers built in.
Either recore your tanks with Arizona GN type or get the alum ones.
Either way you are not getting by with out paying around or more than you were quoted.
Look at it this way ..people will pay 450 bucks for a DP but not that much for a radiator, look at it like that then the radiator is not that bad of a purchase.

I just got a recored radiator from Jack Cotton. Has the orig. end tanks so you still have both coolers.

It has a better core and I dont see anything over 180 in 90 degree heat with the a/c on - I have a frontmount too.

If you want a good radiator that will last and is rather cheap get one from nick micale @ arizonagn.com. i had is radiator in my car for years and worked very well. now i have a PTS Alum. Radiator. its expensive but its a very nice piece and my car runs cooler then it ever has. not only does it cool well but its really light.

Just got ot Napa and get a 951 Modine model for a 350 Iroc 91 and it is a drop in deal. They have aluminum centers and plastic end tanks. Or spend 18 more bucks and get one with brass end tanks. Its like 90* here and with a FM I never get above 173* with dual fans. And you can just add the trans cooler for like 50 bucks.

radiator

arizona gn nick, its the only way to go. 3 pass exact replacement. i have a pte front mount & it cruises at 180 degree in 90 degree all day.

Hi,
This is just a thought if you are on the cheap. I could not find an OE radiator, so I talked to a radiator shop that I deal with regularly, and they built me one, used the same right tank, new core. I have been very happy with this piece. With a 160 thermostat, it runs consistent 175 temps, stock fan. The whole thing cost $120. Just a thought....

Stock replacement part numbers:

AC Delco 20269, SPI CU683, Visteon 8683, GM 88959433

just give nick micale a call at arizonagn.com his radiators are better then stock and your supporting a site vendor
