I know that this has been a problem with some other guys on here but when I need to find the post/s I can't find them. So. I will post again.
Just had the tranny rebuilt by a local shop real nice guy he got the parts from CK performance. It was hard to find anyone local in the Dayton Ohio area that I could trust. If I take off from a dead stop, or from a rolling start of 10-15 and punch the gas 1st to 2nd shift will hit rev limiter. All other shifts are fine, but it doesn't shift hard but doesn't seem to slip either. I really thought that a high performance tranny would shift harder. He did get the valve body reprogrammer from CK and from what I understand it is supposed to shift pretty normal until you get into it. Make sense? Its not a manual valve body either. He has tried the tv cable adjustment and it gets a little better but as soon as you push the pedal to the floor it resets the tv cable and I,m back to hitting the rev limiter. From what I remember people have suggested the govenor in the tranny...I did ask if he reused my original valvle body and he did..So it is a brf valve body. All I know is that I want to get this thing taken care of. I want the good fast hard shifts at wide open throttle. I dont want to burn up a new transmission. Any thoughts?

tell the builder to just block off all accumulators completely it will shift nice and hard no problem. ;)

I'm having the same problem with my rebuild, the car has been in the trannie shop for 2 weeks. My shifts really hard but bounces of the rev limiter the same as you from 1st to 2nd shift. They have changed the govenor, dir drum,2 gear band, valvebody and no such x@#$ luck yet either. This really sucks anybody help us.

thx mike

Hmmm, man I dread taking the car back to the shop. I just hope we can get it settled. Ill take your guys thoughts and let him know what you said...
Wheelin I sure hope we get this thing worked out. Thanks for the input.
Anyone else?

Rev limiter

From what it sounds like to me, although you say it does'nt feel like it's slipping in my opinion it might be. The fact that it does this only on the 1-2 shift leads me to believe you have a problem with improper band (servo pin) clearance. Can't hold the drum allowing the shift to slide into second.
