I know that this has been a problem with some other guys on here but when I need to find the post/s I can't find them. So. I will post again.
Just had the tranny rebuilt by a local shop real nice guy he got the parts from CK performance. It was hard to find anyone local in the Dayton Ohio area that I could trust. If I take off from a dead stop, or from a rolling start of 10-15 and punch the gas 1st to 2nd shift will hit rev limiter. All other shifts are fine, but it doesn't shift hard but doesn't seem to slip either. I really thought that a high performance tranny would shift harder. He did get the valve body reprogrammer from CK and from what I understand it is supposed to shift pretty normal until you get into it. Make sense? Its not a manual valve body either. He has tried the tv cable adjustment and it gets a little better but as soon as you push the pedal to the floor it resets the tv cable and I,m back to hitting the rev limiter. From what I remember people have suggested the govenor in the tranny...I did ask if he reused my original valvle body and he did..So it is a brf valve body. All I know is that I want to get this thing taken care of. I want the good fast hard shifts at wide open throttle. I dont want to burn up a new transmission. Any thoughts?
