New Scanmaster.... 2.1

Hey guys. Just got my scanmaster. Better late than never. What would be normal readings? I'm still trying to figure the thing out. The istructions are a little vague to say the least. Just happy I hooked it up right. Any help, hints and info on it would be appreciate it. By the way its the 2.1 version.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. I'm trying to learn what mine is telling me also.

Might help if you make a couple of copies of the instructions. One for the glovebox & one for reading on the crapper.

Adjust the IAC. It will effect the TPS setting in the process. Prob why your rpm's are high.

Does anybody know how to adjust the I.A.C? Is it on the throttle body?

It's located under the throttle body. There is an adjustment on the throttle body. It adjusts the throttle blade.

When you mean under the throttlebody do you mean actually under it or do I have to take it off completly? I only see one adjustment screw. Its on the side. I'm sending a picture. ......................Tried to send a picture but the new turbo buick site isn't alowing me to do that.

The IAC is that large plastic 3/4" or so bolt head looking sensor looking device directly under the throttle body opening. Usually the hose that goes from the Maf to the Turbine inlet partially obscures it from view & removal. The adjustment screw is on the throttle linkage & looks like an idle adjustment screw. Usually there is a small plastic cap over the end of it. Probably wouldn't hurt to remove the IAC just to insure that it moves & is not frozen in place. It should only be hand tight.

dont mess with the iac sensor unless it fails to adjust the iac count using the throttle blade adjustment screw.
back that screw out and the iac count should go up as the rpm falls below chip set idle speed
as you bring it back you may need to readjust the tps to keep it in the 40s
turn the key off and restart and see where the iac goes
adjust until the iac reads 10-30 range at idle in park at operating temp
