New scanmaster not reading

I installed my SM tonight new from Full Throttle.
Key on, display comes on reads 2.1 and goes off.
My handheld scanner plugged into the ALDL reads fine.
Not sure what is going on....

It goes black
Or does it have dotted line across it
When the 2.1 turns off

Make sure you have the wire going to the ALDL connected to the right pin and have good contact. If the SM comes on and goes blank it means it is not connected to the ALDL

Power connected to IGN cavity on fuse block.
No lines no nothing after the 2.1
I tried moving it to different areas thinking my ALDL was messed up then I tried my hand held scanner.
I will swap it out with the one on my other car and see what happens.....

Fixed it was the white wire connection I made.
No onto the list of other things wrong with the car...........
