Billet Vacuum Block Before knocking it, think about it...you eliminate dealing with the steel lines and the wonderful attaching tab on the manifold, you can run a vacuum line right to your fuel regulator right from the drivers side as well as having an extra port for vacuum brakes. Includes straight fittings as pictured but you can get creative with angle fittings if you want. Not to mention eliminating 5 potential vacuum leaks by not having the short lengths of hose that connect the stock block to the steel hoses. Just something a bit different that works. Billet aluminum and made in the USA.

good idea Mark. when I had the need for vacuum I ended up modifying mine to do about the same thing.

Nice - I was just about to buy a billet vacuum block. Does this one use the same type gasket or does it come with it's own gasket?

Ummmmmm, stock block has 5 ports, this one has 6.

Comes with gasket and bolts.
But it looks like they are all the same size! The vacuum brake line needs to be like 3/8'' or larger.. No fitting that size?

SW.

I would hope the manufacturer rethink the design. I see a few problems that are most likely the result of not enough fore-thought.

If you look at the stock piece (not even counting the brake nipple) carefully you'll notice that there are actually 3 different size nipples on it. The largest for the PCV, 3 of them a smaller size, and the one in the center even smaller yet.
Because different devices need different pressure/volume ratings. PCV obviously needs volume more than vacuum reference.

Now turn the stock unit over you'll see that it's divided into two sections (if memory serves). Some of the nipples get their reference from a different source in front or behind the throttle plate (only important at idle). This last paragraph I'm only working from memory so someone will correct me on this point.

The sizes however are important. 3/8 for PCV, and Brake reference. The others, well....

Great piece, just could use some more engineering.

Dave you can find better photos here -----> NEW STYLE CNC BILLET VACUUM BLOCK - TurboBuicks.com

Going to sell them WITHOUT ANY fittings so people can come up with their own sizes. Need a bigger outlet for vacuum brakes or the PVC? Just drill the hole bigger as seen in a closeup pic on the site. If you need it done, let me know and we will take care of it. Dropped the price to $89, lowest the supplier would let me go.
