Hi all,

I am building a 3.8 VIN 3 (FWD) engine for my Fiero swap. I am looking for a Buick knowledgeable machine shop in central / west central NJ. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Very best regards,

Mark

Dave Husek plays with the 3800s. He might know a good machinist.

Hi Earlbrown, thank you for the reply. I should have given more info in the original post. My engine is an 85 and is most like the 20 bolt GN motors not the 3800 (see below). Same heads, rods, pistons, front cover & oil pump set up; crank has the GN rolled fillets but a different flywheel flange and the block has the FWD bellhousing pattern.
I am not looking for 500 hp, just good machining with a balance job.

BR's,

Mark

While your at it why don't you convert it to a hot air turbo for a few extra ponies? That would be fun.

Yeah, I've been looking at turbos. I would love to do an intercooler but the location is challenging in a Fiero. A water to air intercooler like the ones offered by Frozenboost with the water radiator up front might be a possibility. Comes down to funds right now, don't know if a turbo is in the cards.

Eddies Performance in Sayreville might be another shop to talk to.
