Hi again guys,

Just installed the new low mileage BRF trans today and it runs great. I have ran into a problem though. After a bit of driving, I pulled into the driveway and put it up into park and turned the car off...but...the key wouldn't turn all the way back to the "remove the key" position, and the car would roll. I think it's probably a linkage problem, but I'm not sure what I did wrong. It's like the shifter isn't going all the way into park.

Any ideas for this very tired and frustrated TR dude

linkage

Mine hangs every once in while since my tranny was out. It is the linkage adjustment. Loosen the bolt on the linkage and play with sliding the linkage further or less through the linkage stop eylet. You will find the sweet spot pretty quick. good luck

Are you referring to the shifter cable itself? Just got back from the shop where we took the console out and played with things both on top and under the car. Appears as though the shift cable is not pushing the trans on into park. YOu can manually get it in, or by turning the collar on the column it will go, but not by the shifter itself. Doesn't appear that the cable is binding...so maybe we're missing something. Trans runs GREAT otherwise :-)
