I replaced my TA 49 with the Garrett housing to the TA 49 with the Precision housing, both from John Craig. Not the puck stick and it wont seal to the dp on the bottom edge. How do get the puck to close freely?

With my Mease pipe and PTE51 turbo occasionally when adjusting boost (no BSTC in that car), it can get hung up somehow and by jiggling and moving the swingarm it eventually goes into alignment fully closed.

It should get to this position to be fully closed against the housing.

I did clearance the mease housing around the puck area of travel slightly with a dremel tool but it didn't seem to matter much.

you might want to try an "E" clip. If you have a dremel tool, cut a slight notch in the shaft for the center protrusion of the E-clip to set in. locate the puck above the floor of the housing where you want it and make sure the e-clip rotates free w/o obstruction. sorry, I don't remember the size. The only other way would be to use a drill or bronze bushing cut to the correct length, requiring you to disassemble the puck assembly.
