I've been planning on getting a new 6262 DBB next month but after reading several posts I'm more than a little hesitant since there seem to be quality and warranty issues. The stock one has been on the car for 160,000 miles since i replaced the center section with no problems until about a year ago when it started burning oil.

Regardless I'll be installing a turbo saver (the type that goes where the stock filter goes and replacing the drain tube with a new factory type.

Any thoughts/ suggestions? I want the faster spool of a DBB but reliability is paramount.

Bison has what you want....... faster spool..... You might not need a DBB for that, a .63 Garret would do the trick. But he will have better options and opinions for you.

that's too much turbo reading you sig 5831 billet bb would be instant tire melting madness. last one if did you would think it was just a torque monster big block in there ... touch gas= sideways :)

I have a 5831 and REALLY like it:D
I know a few people have it but I don't know what the ET potential is and I don't think anyone has track tested it yet.

Way more to it than the turbo for track times. I have seen stock turbos touch high 11's and I have seen people with 6776 run 12.50's kind of like giving a hammer and nails to my 5 yr old and asking her to build something who knows what you would get......

Talladega Nights! "I'm a semi-professional race car driver and an amateur tattoo artist." Great....
