I have new upper door panels to install, moving the door pull hardware to the new panels. They used sped nuts, upside down so they are flush to the inside panel. Is there a special tool to take these off and put back on? I was able to get the old ones off with a needle nose on the outside rim, but wont be able to install them to new panels this way. Looks like a reverse socket with a center hole (to clear the stud). Not sure? Thanks, Rich

There is a tool. Not sure if it’s worth buying for like 8 nuts.

I just used a large headed flat screwdriver. Feel free to whatever works to spin them on.

They can be a bit tough to turn but they don’t have to be on crazy tight.
