Newbie valve spring help

I just got my kirban 100# springs and they have some springy thing inside of them? Am I supposed to use them this way, or take the inside part out? Also, my original springs have a metal band around each one, what is this for and do I need to put them back on? Any help is appreciated.....

ok this is what i did. i also had kirbans 100 pound springs in my car. take the springy thing as you call it out with some pliers. also the metal band around the old springs you dont need to use them. that is all.

i believe you are refering to the dampner spring & why would you take it out?
